I was referred to Dr. Cakmes by a co-worker which I am so grateful. Many of my teeth had turned dark, and otherwise oddly shaped. I was a long-overdue candidate for a smile makeover.  I felt immediately at ease as Dr. Cakmes discussed my treatment options at length and laid out a plan, both dental and financial. He assured me that recreating my smile through non-invasive cosmetic dental techniques would have a positive impact not only on my physical appearance but on my confidence level, as well. Dr. Cakmes and his staff’s warm personality helped add trust to the doctor-patient relationship.  I could not ask for a more pleasant atmosphere so thank you Dr. Cakmes and staff for giving me the smile I have always dreamed of and I will be forever grateful.

As a teen I wore braces to correct an overbite; the braces worked well to straighten
my teeth but still left some small gaps. I wanted to close those gaps; after some
research I chose to have bonding placed over my natural tooth instead of porcelain
veneers.

I was skeptical of early veneers that required tooth reduction. The bonding
helped me achieve the look I desired but it was high maintenance and I had to have
touch ups done several times a year. Recently, I decided to replace the bonding with
Durathin veneers after learning that the veneer would fit over my natural tooth without
any reduction.

I have been wearing Durathin veneers for four weeks and I am very
satisfied with how natural they feel and look.

Teeth don’t play games. They decide how they want to grow, what color they want to be, and how close they want to relate themselves to the other teeth in their neighborhood. My teeth seemed to be part of an extremely dysfunctional family. They acted like hooligans running around in my mouth; that is the few teeth that even decided to show up. They didn’t represent who I felt I was. My teeth became an easy
insult. I would often fall asleep and hope that when I woke up my teeth would be perfect. My parents knew how I felt.

We had been through the gauntlet of dentists and they all seemed to be intimidated by my teeth. Then we went to see Dr. Cakmes and he said, “No problem.” I would come into his office and the staff would treat me like a person with good teeth. They made me feel so comfortable. The world is filled with sacrifices, insecurities, and problems that are out of our control.

I am so grateful that Dr. Cakmes, his staff, and my parents made my teeth one less insecurity.

My smile has always been an area of self-consciousness. Not incredibly crooked or anything that one couldn’t live with, but still not what I wanted in a smile. Over the past few years I would go back and forth between the idea of braces and pursuing cosmetic dentistry. Looking back at photos from my high school and early college years I noticed that my true smile was missing and in its place was a false representation of my true self.

I recently made the decision to pursue the smile I felt I was meant to have, and through Dr. Cakmes’ services and the helpfulness of the staff I was able to make a seemingly life changing decision to achieve that missing smile. I couldn’t be happier with the results and now have a confident smile that I am proud to display any time a camera is around.

My husband’s job has taken us to five different states over the last 18 years. That’s a lot of new dentists to get used to! I had good experiences and a few bad experiences, but it wasn’t until we moved to Knoxville that I had a GREAT experience! Dr. Cakmes and his staff are exceptional! They understand that I am a big baby when it comes to any dental procedure, so when I had my smile makeover they made it pain free which really gave me something to smile about. I absolutely love my smile now and look forward to years of looking as good on the outside as I do on the inside.
