The many benefits of tooth-colored restorations include:

  • Restored tooth structure
  • Strength and durability
  • Decay prevention
  • Natural appearance and functionality

Porcelain Crowns & Bridges

Bridges & Crowns can enliven your smile

Dr. Cakmes will identify your specific dental restoration needs and find a solution that best suits you. Let us help restore your smile and dental health with a custom dental crown or bridge.

At Cakmes Dental Studio, we’re committed to your dental health,
whether you need a routine checkup and cleaning or a more complex
dental restoration, like a crown or bridge. Dr. Cakmes, along with
our staff, will identify your specific dental and oral health needs
and work with you to find a solution that best suits you.

What are bridges?
Bridges are most commonly used to replace missing teeth and fill in gaps that could cause surrounding teeth to shift. Bridges can also help prevent:

  • Overbites or underbites caused by missing teeth
  • Movement of surrounding teeth
  • Disorders brought on by missing teeth (gum disease, temporomandibular joint (TMJ),
    infection, etc.)

During a bridge procedure, Dr. Cakmes places the bridge in the space where teeth are missing, using the teeth nearest the gap as anchors. Like with crowns, bridges can be made of many different materials.

What are crowns?
Crowns, cap-like dental prosthetics, can be used for a variety of reasons, most of which include protecting or restoring teeth. Our practice recommends crowns for patients who may have:

  • A tooth needing its structure, shape and size restored
  • A tooth that is broken or at risk of breaking
  • A bridge needing attached
  • A degraded or damaged tooth that requires a
    large filling
  • Tooth/teeth needing other cosmetic
    improvements, like color and alignment

We proudly offer traditional crowns in addition to the innovative Cerec (CERamic REConstruction) technology to create custom crowns. While a conventional crown offers several restorative benefits, the procedure requires more than one visit. Cerec allows us to enhance your smile and repair damage in just one appointment. Learn more about Cerec and whether it may be a solution for you here.

The implants then are used to secure visible aspects of your teeth via crowns, bridgework or dentures. We provide both Implant Crowns and Implant Supported Dentures.

Root Canals

Expert Root Canals in Knoxville, TN

We understand that damage happens, and we can get you on the path to renewed dental health with our root canal therapy treatment.

When damage or infection happens, you deserve the highest quality
care to avoid more serious dental problems down the road. Root canals
can repair and save a tooth, while also relieving pain that
often comes along with decay or damage inside the tooth chamber.

Root canals are commonly used to restore or save an infected tooth or tooth with damaged tissue without extraction. Added root canal benefits:

  • Pain and sensitivity relief
  • Decay prevention and protection
  • Natural appearance of treated tooth
  • Restored functionality of tooth

During a root canal procedure, we clean the canals inside the
tooth’s roots, removing damaged or infected pulp. The affected tooth is
then filled, sealed to prevent future infection and permanently sealed
with a crown. Often, this procedure can be completed in as little as one
visit and most patients experience very little to no pain or discomfort.
